HOW DO I EVEN START THIS POST? HOW DO I ENGLISH? I CAN’T FUNCTION AKSHFKAHFJSGFJ THE PICTURE WAS TAKEN LESS THAN 6 HOURS AGO AND I AM STILL HYPERVENTILATING OH MY GOD.
Okay, okay. Let’s start from the beginning of this “holy shit I’m dreaming” day.
First of all you have to know a guy on twitter yesterday published a picture of Novak practicing so since the stadium was closed to the public I supposed he worked here so I tweeted him asking if he could tell me what time he practiced today.
I got classes at university until 12:30 pm, as soon as the last class was over I got the tweet from this guy telling me Nole had just started practicing. I PANICKED. I was on the opposite part of the city and by bus it took me one hour to get there to the site (called Foro Italico) and in fact I didn’t make in time to watch him practicing (while I was on the bus I was about to scream to make the driver go faster, seriously I was freaking out. I even thought about stealing someone’s car, GTA style)Anyway, I got there at the main entrance and it was closed and there was security so I asked if I could get in but the guy went “you can enter only if you got a pass, you can get it near the other entrance there”. Naively, I thought everybody could get this pass but I then found out it was only for people who work there. I asked if there was another way to get in, and a girl who was there told me there wasn’t. Long story short I sneaked in. SO BASICALLY I WASN’T EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE THERE. I somehow managed to not get caught by security (yay me, I’m a fucking ninja).
I went to the Pietrangeli stadium (which is close to the player’s entrance) and watched for a bit Raonic and Baghdatis practicing together. I wondered if Nole was still there, but I supposed so since yesterday he went out around 3 pm so I waited. (While waiting I took a picture with Gasquet, but that’s another story). I got close to the player’s entrance and sit on a bench and after a while I saw Miljan, GG and Marian :D I said hi and some incoherent things like “I’M A HUGE FAN OF NOLE, YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST OMG I LOVE YOU SO MUCH CAN WE TAKE A PICTURE???” and they were all giggly and I couldn’t stop giggling as well and we took this ADORABLE picture together :’))))))
So I gently asked Miljan about Novak and he said “He’s coming out” AND I SWEAR TO GOD I STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS BREATHING. Meanwhile, I saw a security guy was looking at me, like he understood I was an hysterical fan and definitely not someone who worked there so I kept myself together and waited. After a couple of minutes I SEE HIM AND IT TOOK ALL MY SELF-CONTROL TO NOT START SOBBING. He was walking by so I was like (we spoke in italian) “Hi Nole!” and he got closer. (Now, you have to know I had a gift for him. The gift was a little box with a red bow which contained an hand-made lucky charm and a card I wrote) so I said “I got something for you!” and he said “OH REALLY? :D” he looked genuinely surprised and smiled so I handed him the box and THEN YOU GUYS HE SAID THANK YOU AND HE.FUCKING.HUGGED.ME IT WAS A PROPER HUG WHICH LASTED LIKE 4 SECONDS BUT IT FELT LIKE FOREVER. The best thing is I was alone. No crowd, no kids, no one, so I had this little moment with him alone and it was so special :’)))))
Then we took the picture together but holy shit it took me 5 seconds to be able to push the button because I was SHAKING SO FUCKING MUCH and I said it out loud “Oh my god I’m shaking so much” he giggled and grabbed my arm and then I said thank you for the 194682658th times and in the process of separating from each other HE SLID HIS HAND ON MY ARM AND THEN WE LIKE HELD OUR HANDS FOR A MOMENT AND I GOT CHILLS ALL OVER MY BACK.He walked away, I turned and I reacted like this
And I cried all the way back home. I think I’m still crying internally.
